New Director ID Requirements
Are you aware of the new Director ID Requirements? If not, we’ve got you covered! There are changes were implemented in November 2021, as directed by the Australian Business Registry Service (ABRS).
Company directors must now have a Director Identification Number. This is a legal requirement that applies to all new and existing directors of a company. This refers to companies that are a registered Australian body, registered foreign company or Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander corporation.
The Director ID is a unique 15-digit code. To receive this, a director must apply once & keep this code to use indefinitely. It will be used to confirm an individuals’ identity and keep track of their relationships to companies.
